Susan Reeves, M. Ed. CCC/SLP

Susan has over 33 years’ experience with pediatric and adult patients in all areas of speech rehabilitation. She is currently a member of American Speech and Hearing Association and the Texas Speech and Hearing Association. She is the International Association of Laryngectomees Administrative Manager where she helps to coordinate people who have had their vocal cords removed, typically to cancer, with support clubs throughout the United States and beyond.

Directing the IAL office at the RR speech clinic is a volunteer position, which she has held since Sept. 2008. She has lectured across the United States, Mexico and Germany on alaryngeal rehabilitation. She is also on the planning committee of the Texas Laryngectomee Association Meeting and has served the Texas Laryngectomee Association for over 20 years.

Mrs. Reeves has a passion for serving children who have language disorders which are manifested in atypical behavior patterns. She has been a guest speaker at several universities, including Angelo State University, North Texas State University, Texas Woman’s University and most recently the Dept. of Aging and Disability State Habilitation Conference in Sept. 2012, on topics relative to language differences and their connection to atypical behaviors.
